In recent years, students from NHIA have been granted the opportunity to work on a number of projects with a wide variety of businesses and organizations from the greater Manchester area. NHIA’s group exhibition, “Artist as Citizen”, celebrates these partnerships, showcasing a number of works created to help promote the arts, bring awareness to particular causes, or to simply beautify the downtown area.

The collaborations highlighted in this exhibition illustrate NHIA’s mission to promote student civic engagement. Each project stresses the importance of building ties within the local community while also providing students with the rich experience of working with real world clients prior to graduation.
“Artist as Citizen” includes works created with Easter Seals of NH, The Palace Theatre, Opera NH, The Rock On Foundation, New Hampshire Magazine, InTown Manchester, Old Sol Musical Hall and more.

This event is free, open to the public and handicap accessible. For additional information, please contact us at exhibitions@nhia.edu
