Opening Reception: January 15, 5-7pm
The landscape has long been a focal point for visual artists, from the paintings of the Hudson River School artists to the photographs of Ansel Adams and the artwork of the St Ives Modernist group. Whether in their travels or in their everyday lives, landscape artists are constantly looking for the sublime within the natural world. From photo-realism to complete abstraction, each artwork provides the viewer with a sense of space and emotion along with the opportunity to experience the landscape through the artists imagination. In this exhibition we asked a select number of artists to share their vision of the landscape. This exhibit is free and open to the public.
Gallery Hours: Monday through Saturday, 10am – 6pm; Sunday, 11am – 5pm. For more information contact Kate Lenahan, Assistant Gallery Director: (603) 836-2585.
