Creativity: Why Do We Do What We Do?

September 14, 2016 6-8PM

New Hampshire Institute of Art, French Hall, 148 Concord Street Manchester, NH

Enjoy an engaging presentation on the "creative mind" with NHIA Faculty Mike Ariel and artist Alison Williams.

We'll look at how various technological, conceptual and cultural advances have influenced its evolution. From Cave painting to 3-D printing and everything in between; we'll see how creative minds used the materials at hand to develop new ways of seeing and thinking, and how these developments have affected, and been affected by scientific advancements. And, how you, as a contemporary artist can add these technologies, conceptual and material advances to your tool kit. This event is free and open to the public.
