We are please to present our annual Holiday Maker Fair, December 2, 10am-4pm at their French Hall, 148 Concord St, Manchester NH. This event is free, open to the public, and handicap accessible.
Students, alumni, and others in the NHIA community will present handmade items for sale at this popular event. Looking for a special holiday gift for your loved ones? NHIA’s Maker Fair is the perfect place to purchase ceramics, graphic design, illustrations, jewelry, paintings, photography and more, just in time for the holidays.
There will also be demos and activities led by NHIA’s Community Education and Youth Arts faculty in the historic and festive French Hall! Hands-on demos are 3-5 minutes and run from 11:00am to 1:00pm. Get a taste of what our Community Education programs and classes have to offer!
Learn the basics of screen printing and pull your own print of a poster designed by our very own NHIA faculty member and Director of Community Education, James Chase!
Discover the versatile medium of monotype printmaking! Creating monotypes is a great introduction to printmaking for paint and artists of all levels. Participates will try their hands at creating their own “painterly print.” Led by Liz Melnyczuk, NHIA Adjunct Faculty.
Collaborative Painting and Drawing
Take a reductive approach to painting and drawing. Participants will investigate mark making, learn the basic of modeling a light as they help build a collaborative painting. Led by Tricia Gibbs, NHIA Faculty member.
Open Jewelry and Metalsmithing
NHIA’s Community Education Jewelry and Metalsmithing program opens its studio for a day of metalsmithing and viewing of art jewelry by instructors and students. Learn about our upcoming Winter and Spring classes led by nationally recognized artists. Come see metalworking in action as students practice on ongoing projects.
