Time: 04:00 PM - 07:30 PM

New Hampshire Institute of Art (NHIA) is pleased to announce that we will be hosting the District 1 Congressional Art Competition Reception and Awards Ceremony with Representative Frank Guinta on May 3, 2016 at 4 PM.

Each spring, the Congressional Institute sponsors a nationwide high school visual art competition to recognize and encourage artistic talent in the nation and in each congressional district. Students submit entries to their representative’s office, and panels of district artists select the winning entries. Winners are recognized both in their district and at an annual awards ceremony in Washington, DC. The winning works are displayed for one year at the U.S. Capitol.

NHIA is also offering scholarships to high school seniors who are selected as Congressional Art Competition winners and who are accepted to enroll in our Bachelor of Fine Arts program.  In addition, NHIA is offering scholarships to high school sophomore and junior Congressional Art Competition winners who attend our summer Pre-College program.
