NHIA will be hosting the state finals of New Hampshire Writers’ Project Three Minute Fiction Slam competition. The contest is a fast paced literary competition that challenges writers to perform original pieces of fiction in three minutes or less in front of a panel of judges. This is NHIA’s third year hosting the event, which is free and open to the public.
At the competition writers take turns presenting original flash fiction pieces that are shorter than three minutes in length. After each writer is finished, judges provide them with a score and verbal feedback. At the end of the night, the contestant with the highest score wins. The competition’s winning writer earns $100 and a free entrance to Writers’ Day 2016, the largest literary conference in the region, where they will read their work to an audience of peers, publishers, editors and agents.
