How to Apply

For the first time ever, NHIA is thrilled to offer its members access to the user-friendly online resource—the standard submission process for major art exhibitions.

For the 70th Annual Members Exhibition you may submit up to two professional, high-resolution images (300 dpi) for the jurors to review. Images must be named using the format “first name_last name_title of work”. (Example: Karen_Smith_PinkRoses.jpg) Please include the retail price (or indicate “not for sale”) and the dimensions in the “Additional details box.”

For members who do not have high quality images of their art work or who may need additional help uploading images to SlideRoom, NHIA’s Sharon Arts Center offers free assistance. Please contact Melissa Gentle at 603-836-2550 or for additional information or to make an appointment. Don’t delay: this free service is offered on a first-come, first-serve basis from August 15 - August 19, 2016.

Artists who may wish to submit a work for exhibition but who are not currently an NHIA member should contact Sara Ceaser at or (603) 836-2143 to join or renew their membership.

Requirements for Exhibiting

All artwork must arrive at the gallery ready for presentation. Wall-hung work must be wired to hang, and free-standing work must stand steadily without need of support. No exposed glass-edge frames. Artists working in new media, film, or video may be required to use their own equipment for the exhibition. Make sure to firmly attach identification, including your name, title of the piece, medium, and retail price, to the back of each work. Please print clearly on the identification label as well as when filling out the submission form.
