The New Hampshire Institute of Art Awarded 2017 Military Friendly School Designation

Manchester, NH (November 27, 2017) – The New Hampshire Institute of Art (NHIA) was recently named to the Military Friendly Schools list by Victory Media, the premier media entity for military personnel transitioning into civilian life. The 2017 Military Friendly Schools list honors the top 20 percent of colleges, universities and trade schools in the country that are doing the most to embrace America’s military service members, veterans, and spouses as students and ensure their success on campus.

“At NHIA we value the commitment and sacrifice our veterans and their families have made for our country and we are honored when they choose an NHIA education. This select distinction as a Military Friendly School acknowledges the efforts we make to ensure that our veterans are receiving the support and necessary financial assistance to have a productive and successful experience while at NHIA,” says NHIA President Kent Devereaux.

NHIA is committed to assisting the veteran student population by participating in the following veteran programs:

  • Principles of Excellence

  • 8 Keys to Veterans Success

  • Armed Forces Tuition Assistance Funding

  • Montgomery GI Bill

  • Post 9/11 GI Bill

  • Veteran’s Vocational Rehabilitation programs

  • Transfer credits accepted from CLEP, ACE, DANTES, military/basic training, and other accredited credit-granting organizations

The list of Military Friendly Schools was compiled through extensive research and a data-driven survey of more than 10,000 schools nationwide approved for VA tuition funding. The survey results that comprise the 2017 list were independently tested by Ernst & Young LLP based upon the weightings and methodology established by Victory Media. Victory Media is a service-disabled, veteran-owned small business that has been serving the military community since 2001.
