BFA Programs

The Bachelor of Fine Arts program at the Institute provides students the opportunity to engage in the development of formal skill and technique while creating their individual artistic voice.

The courses of studio concentration offered are: Painting, Ceramics, Illustration and Photography. The Interdisciplinary course of study is a selected synthesis of the four areas of studio concentration. In 2009 the Institute was awarded approval from the State of NH for the Art Education curriculum, which allows the Institute to offer K – 12 Art Education licensure to students who have successfully completed our program.

BFA Course Requirements for Graduation

Students are required to complete 120 credits: 45 credits in liberal arts (to include 12 credits of art history), 63 credits in studio courses, and 12 credits of elective coursework which may include up to two courses in liberal arts.

Students seeking an Interdisciplinary Concentration or entry into the Art Education program must meet the criteria for acceptance.
