Teaching Philosophy
Immersion in the greatest art ever conceived, entering into a direct dialogue with masterpieces, gleaning hints about the depths of the human psyche, the arc of tradition, the history of the ideas and modes of being that shape us, undertaking the great fool's errand of framing one's experience of art in philosophical, historical, ideological, political, and cultural contexts.... What could be more exciting or more important?
