The Community Education program at the New Hampshire Institute of Art offers outstanding non-credit fine art classes, workshops and intensives for adults and high school students 15 years and older. Our small classes provide individual attention for students while they learn from our working professional faculty/artists. Day, evening and weekend courses are available for all skill levels during the Fall, Spring, and Summer Sessions.

Community Education Mission Statment

The Community Education program at New Hampshire Institute of Art is dedicated to providing community access to a broad range of professionally led classes and workshops that encourage learning and appreciation in the visual arts.

Chris Archer
Director of Community Educaiton

DEAR SUPPORTERS, FRIENDS AND CREATORS,

Along with presenting our program of workshops and classes, I would like to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Chris Archer and I am very excited to begin my new role as Director of Community Education for both of the New Hampshire Institute of Art’s Manchester and Sharon Arts Center Campuses.

Both Manchester and Sharon Arts Center campuses have proud, long-standing roots in community education and we are enthusiastically committed to furthering our mission of offering a variety of strong arts programming. Personally, community education has been an integral part of my career since 1993, and specifically on our Manchester Campus since 1998.

It is a privilege to work with so many talented instructors and it is an honor to take on the responsibility of helping provide you with a vibrant, productive and rewarding educational experience.

We have some exciting changes on the way. I look forward to hearing about your experiences and welcome your feedback. If you have questions, concerns, or want to know more about our fall programming, email me at carcher@nhia.edu or give me a call at (603) 836-2561.

To register for classes, please contact Rhiannon Mimms at CERegistration@nhia.edu or (603) 836-2564.

Sincerely,

Chris Archer
