Teaching Philosophy
Teaching at the New Hampshire Institute of Art affords me the opportunity to interact with students and faculty in an enriching and challenging environment. Recognizing each student as an individual with a unique artistic voice is central to my teaching philosophy and to aid them in their path of discovery is an exciting endeavor. I feel that while it is essential to foster an atmosphere of community and collaboration that allow students to interact, take risks and gain confidence it is also important to teach skills that provide students with tools to express themselves in any medium or discipline.
