Graduate Programs

Our low-residency Master of Fine Arts (MFA) lets you earn your graduate degree in your own terms, on your own time. You’ll be immersed in a diverse community of aspiring artists, supported by hands-on faculty who take the time to know each student personally, actively encouraging experimentation and collaboration across disciplines. Back at home, our far-reaching network of emerging and well-established artists will continue to mentor you as you push yourself to new heights.

Our Master of Arts in Art Education (MAAE) studio focus degree puts art educators back in touch with the source of their inspiration. You’ll devote your graduate work to developing yourself as an artist while our curriculum connects your creative growth back to your role as a teacher. And since it’s the New Hampshire Institute of Art, you’ll do it all as part of an intimate, supportive community devoted to the arts.
