Teaching Philosophy
I specialize in Modern, Contemporary, and American art, and teach the History of Prints, and History of Photography. I am fascinated by what the visual arts can tell us about the past and present, and how artists have contributed to what it means to be human. Studying art history produces better writers, thinkers, and artists.
